She's Waiting

To think of a mother

So sweet and so kind

To think of her love,

It hurts your mind

To wrap your thoughts around this concept

To thoroughly understand

The complex construction project

Created by God’s mighty hand

For a mother’s not simply a woman

But a powerful, beautiful beast

Respected by all, often thanked by none

All she asks for is a little bit of fun

To brighten her day, to make it all worth it

To see you smile, she just says

“Heck yeah, I’ll birth it!"

She works tirelessly for you,

Never stopping, working through

The night you wailed,

The night you failed the test

She worked so hard with you for

She simply says,

“There will be more”

She makes you see the positive,

See the light

For when you’re dark and down

She just makes everything bright

To think of her compassion

Her passion, her drive

To make your life better

To make sure her kids thrive

That’s the goal of a mother

The goal of her life

Now go make her life better

Get rid of her strife

Now, go on!

Get out there!

Make sure she knows

Just how greatly you care

About the wonders she’s done for you,

The magnificent things

That have made you successful

She’s given you wings!

So go thank her, be grateful

Don’t let appreciation

Be another thing she’ll wait for
