Hey guys, the sermon at church today really touched me. I just needed to write this down. Thanks for reading.

What a Friend Does
Do you feel bad For what you’ve done to me? For wrecking me Ruining me Destroying my self esteem? Do you feel bad For making me cry to sleep Every other night When you threw me down Dragged me out Demanding I wasn’t enough? Wasn’t up to your standards? Wasn’t praising you enough? Is that really what a friend does? Does a friend tell you You’re not good enough You’re not thoughtful enough You’re not caring enough You’re not... enough What a real friend does is Accept Care for Demand only respect Not worship not praise Not counting the days On how many times You’ve “wronged” them You’ve ripped me to shreds Torn me to threads I’m scraping by Depending on God To build me back up From the mudslide of “friendship” You buried me under I look to God and ask Please fix me Please heal me Please restore me Give me the confidence My “friend” once stole from me I need you God For my “friend” Was nothing more than the enemy in disguise. Help me Lord.
