One more poem for today! I've been really reflective recently, apparently.

Love,

Noelle

Closure

One picture, one smell, one sound

Has the ability to

Find you out, grab at you, drag you down

You think you go so long without thinking

Of those treacherous nights you fell asleep crying

You think you’ve moved on and gotten over the hill

But getting over that heartbreak, you never truly will

For once, I wish to be free of all my past

For once, I wish I knew something was going to last

For once, I’d like to do something not all on my own

For once, I’d like to feel happiness I didn’t have loaned

To me

Do you ever feel this way?

Years pass without thinking

Suddenly sinking

From one single photo.

You’ve received no closure. Should you search for it?
