Hey friends!
I know I JUST posted a poem about an hour ago, but I had another one come to mind almost immediately....so here it is! Fresh from my brain! Haha enjoy! Share if you like it!
Much love,
Noelle

Cardboard Box
Mind.
What is the mind but a vessel?
For words
For thoughts
For feelings
If one could master the mind,
Could he master all minds?
Is that an idea or is that a possibility?
If the mind were a cardboard box, what would you fill it with?
Do you want it full of love letters?
Of textbooks?
Would you want it full of blog posts?
Or of audiobooks?
Do you care what’s in your mind?
In your cardboard box?
Would you hold the Bible in your cardboard box?
If you were to create a book to put in someone else’s cardboard box,
What would you write to them?
What would you want them thinking constantly?
What would you want rolling through their mind?
Every hour
Every minute
Every day
Is what you’re saying to people good?
Is it healthy for their cardboard box?
What color is your cardboard box?
Is it bright pink with sparkles and glitter?
Has it been tarnished?
If it has been tarnished, have you attempted silver polish?
Have you tried to clean yourself?
Did you use rubbing alcohol?
Or just plain alcohol?
Does your carboard box have a scrapbook in it—of old family memories?
Are they good memories?
Is one of those memories sitting down by the fire
With your family
After a long day
Just enjoying one another?
If you don’t have that memory,
Do you want to create that memory?
What are the memories you wish to create?
What are the thoughts you wish to say?
Do you wish to fill someone else’s cardboard box?
Or do you want to throw trash into that box?
Let them feel all the horrible feelings you know all too well about?
Would you let someone else have a cardboard box
As damaged as yours?
Where you can tell the delivery man was not too kind
With how he handled the fragile package?
If you are that delivery man to someone else,
Will you notice the sticker labelled “FRAGILE?”
Will you see that a different delivery man
Or a person at the factory
Did not handle it carefully?
Will you recognize that in someone else?
Whoever you come into contact with,
Be careful of their “FRAGILE” sticker.
Take care of others.
