Bring them a lasagna. It's nice.

Hi friends! So a few days ago I was tired on Facebook before going to bed and I wrote something that might be valuable to share here. It's short and sweet, but important. Listen up!

Ok why is it that people are only ever thoughtful of others when the other is at an extreme in their life? "Someone's aunt died and they're too sad to cook? I'll send over a lasagna!" "They just got married! I'll make a super adorable gift basket for them." No matter good or bad-- it's only ever in extremes that I've seen a person just do something really cool like that for another. Why don't we do that when lives are just normal? Like, life is super stressful on its own-- you don't need your loved one to pass away for you to be too upset to cook. Or maybe they got an A on their test--take them for ice cream! We do that with children, but adults (or just teens and up) deserve recognition and congratsfor all they do too! Life is hard and we forget to think about others when everything is "normal" because we're too focused on ourselves. Life shouldn't have to be a soap opera of insane events for us to notice and care for the people around us. See someone with bags under their eyes? A homemade cup of coffee the next morning costs 50 cents, 5 extra minutes, and 2 seconds of thought, but I guarantee you, it'll mean something big to that dead tired person struggling to deal with life that day. And don't think I'm being a hypocrite by saying all of this-- I know I'm a hypocrite for saying this, and I want to change. I realized I do this-- go on with my everyday without noticing people-- all the time, and I want to end up being the person to bake cookies for someone for absolutely no reason but to see them smile. Little stuff like that. It'll make all the difference. Love thy neighbor, in and out of the extremities of life. ❤️❤️❤️ goodnight, world. Just needed to get that off my chest. Thanks.

Love, Noelle
