I know you're stressed. I know there's a ton of crap going on in your life. I know there are too many things to handle that you don't know how to deal with. I understand what you're feeling. I want you to breathe. I want you to relax. Let yourself dissolve for a minute or two. One of the best things I've learned in life so far is how to let myself dismember from life for an hour at a time. It helps me. Whether it's yoga, painting, reading your Bible or just watching YouTube, I need you to find something you can calm down with. This is partially why I made this blog. It helps me put my swirling thoughts through a filter to sort out just exactly how I'm feeling. After I write, I come out thinking in clear, complete sentences, as opposed to the jumbled mess that is my life. I don't have my life together. That's for sure. I'm about to start college at a school I originally didn't want to go to. Luckily, it's turned out pretty well. I was accepted into one of the theatre programs I wanted, it being one of the top theatre programs in the country. I'm really fortunate, but I'm still confused. This life will be totally new to me, and I'm kind of freaking out. This is where relaxing comes into it. It's totally cliche to keep saying relax, relax, relax, but it's cliche for a reason. Sometimes, you just need a break from reality to just think alone with no outside mental influences. A while back, I was going through some real crap that was too difficult to deal with. I took a break from society, literally. I cut off all my communication with the outside world, besides what was absolutely necessary. It was wonderful for my mental health. Instead of having a mental break down every time I tried to have fun with my friends, I spent my days in my room hiding from the world. I came out of it, after taking longer than I expected, refreshed and ready, again, to face the real world. So, my recommendation, dear stressed one, is to take a break. I don't care for how long, in what way, or if your situation improves afterwards. You need to breathe, regardless of what's going on outside of you. Take the time to focus on yourself and what you need to do to improve your mental health. The only person you're going to have to live with forever is yourself, so make sure you're happy. Take time for yourself. Breathe. Refresh.
Love, Noelle
