HEATHER PLASTOW
THEATRE DIRECTOR, POET,
ARTISTIC ADVENTURE-SEEKER
ABOUT HEATHER
CURRENTLY:
Heather Plastow is currently a sophomore at the University of Northern Colorado, working on her B.A. in Theatre Arts, in the Theatre Studies Program with an emphasis in directing. She also is working on a minor in Psychology and an Arts Entrepreneurship Program certificate to add to her diploma. She works in the UNC Theater's shops, designing, creating, fixing, and organizing any set piece or prop used on the stage for the season's current show. She's constantly learning new skills every day to improve her flexibility and versatility in the theatre, as well as anywhere else she can apply these skills.

When Heather's not working on major productions with the school, she's working on her own projects! She takes extreme pride in always having something going on. Heather's often working with different student performance groups on campus, in multiple roles from acting to marketing, set design, etc. Her favorite thing to do is direct, though! That's pretty clear, since that's her concentration for her major! She's currently building her repertoire and getting her name out there. It's going well so far!
As of this summer, Heather has begun to work at La Quinta Inn and Suites in Loveland, Colorado, as a front desk receptionist! She's loved the position so far; the atmosphere is wonderful there. This job also provides her the opportunity to focus on volunteering and creating new projects. She's currently the Marketing/PR Coordinator for a student group production of "12 Angry Jurors" and she's loving it! Auditions for it are soon, too, so hopefully, she gets cast ;).
Up until a month ago, before changing churches, Heather regularly volunteered with Generations Church in Greeley, Colorado. She led worship during Sunday services about once a month and worked weekly with the youth program, leading kids in their walks with Christ. She led worship there, too, and head up the team working the concessions booth to sell and prepare food for the teens. Once the main service was done for the night, Heather led a small group of 9th-10th grade girls to discuss that night's topic and check in with everyone to encourage and support them as they go into their next week. Even after leaving these positions, Heather works hard to lead people to Christ and works passionately to make sure everyone feels welcomed and loved by both her and God.
Any time Heather doesn't already have filled with her incredibly busy schedule, she spends either hanging out with friends, debriefing with a cup of tea and Netflix, or just working on her next individual project. Keep an eye out for her next one-- it includes poetry and Heather's super excited about it.
HISTORY:
Heather Plastow graduated from Greeley Central High School in May of 2017 (featured right with her lovely parents, Karen and John Plastow). During her time there, Heather worked actively to improve the Arts Magnet Program in the school, inspiring underclassmen to pursue their goals and work passionately for them. In her junior year, she started the tradition of creating an Arts Magnet parade float for the school's annual homecoming parade, which won the Best Float contest in both years she led it. She helped lead her Thespian Troupe 657 alongside their director and even directed a show, "Small World," in her senior year.
